Editable Office documents, such as Word® or Excel® based files, can usually be changed at any time and by anyone, unless they are protected by passwords. Passwords can be forgotten and it is tedious to protect each document accordingly.

The PDF/A file format should be used for archiving in general and for legally compliant archiving in particular. I create easy-to-use concepts for archiving, including automatic backups to a secure cloud storage.

Once archived, documents should be retrieved within seconds. I will be happy to present document search concepts to you.

If data is ever destroyed, it can be quickly restored using appropriate backup concepts.

Communication

Fast, secure and reliable communication makes a significant contribution to the success of a company. In the private sphere, there are also many topics that should not be heard or read by everyone.

Writing a normal e-mail is like sending a postcard. If you are lucky, it will not be read. Since unprotected communication is intercepted by many governments and criminals, encryption is the concept of choice to make life difficult for your opponent.

I will be happy to train you in the appropriate handling of e-mail and social networks and set up your hardware securely.

Image Processing

Nowadays, pictures and videos are almost more important than words.

I will train you in photography and scanning, explain the basics of image manipulation and explain the color systems of cameras, scanners, monitors and printers. I will recommend appropriate hardware and software tailored to your needs.

On request, I can introduce you to the basics of video editing.

Online-Services

Whether grocery stores, mail order companies, health insurance companies, banks, tax offices, newspapers, post offices, .... Every institutions will ask you to create an online account. You then have 24/7 access and no longer have to leave the house, write an e-mail or a letter for every little thing.

I set up all accounts for you, secure them with 2-factor authentication and store the access data in a password vault that is only accessible to you.

If you wish, I can train you in how to use all accounts.
